Renee (Kam) Canfield ('05) was a standout for the volleyball team from 2001-04, with the Fighting Scots going 84-53. A four-year starter at setter, she set the school record for career assists and still ranks first with 5,431. Edinboro made the PSAC Finals all four years, winning the championship in 2001. Edinboro also played in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional three of her four years, capturing the regional title and advancing to the Elite Eight in 2002. She capped her career by receiving the Nancy Acker Award in 2005, and was named to Edinboro’s All-Time Team. Canfield also holds the career record for assists average (12.34) and is seventh in digs (1,180). She has three of the top four season assist totals – 2nd in 2003 (1,647), 3rd in 2001 (1,550), and 4th in 2002 (1,472). In 2001, she was named the PSAC West Rookie of the Year while setting Edinboro’s season assists record with 1,550. She was a two-time AVCA All-Atlantic Region and All-PSAC West selection, and in 2003 was an honorable mention AVCA All-American. She broke her own school record for assists with 1,647 in 2003.
