Edinboro Athletics Hall of Fame
Pratt excelled as a member of the football and track & field teams. On the gridiron he was named to Edinboro’s all-time team as a kick returner. A wide receiver, he finished his career with 78 receptions for 1,064 yards and 7 TDs while playing from 1985-88. He enjoyed his best season as a senior, hauling in 30 passes for 480 yards and 3 TDs. He earned second team All-PSAC West honors in 1987, when he caught 20 passes for 245 yards, and 1988. He still holds Edinboro school records for career kickoff returns (76), career kickoff return yards (1,844), and longest kickoff return (100 yards), along with most kickoff returns for touchdowns (3). He stands fourth in career kickoff return average (24.3 yards) and has the sixth-best season kickoff return average at 26.9 yards in 1987. In track & field, Pratt was a five-time PSAC individual champion while competing in the 100, 400 and long jump. He earned All-American honors in the long jump in 1990 after not competing in the event until his football career concluded. He would set the PSAC record in the long jump with a jump of 25’3”. Pratt set Edinboro records in the 100 and long jump. Pratt then went on to enjoy a very successful career in the Arena Football League, playing for Miami, Florida and Grand Rapids. In six seasons he caught 195 passes for 2,372 yards with 35 TDs, including 82 receptions for 1,094 yards and 18 TDs with Florida in 1996. He had six rushing touchdowns and returned 210 kicks for 3,941 yards and six more touchdowns.
