Attended Windber Area High School and wrestled for Shade High School … ended career with 118-25 record, going 36-11 as a senior, 32-2 as a junior, 23-7 as a sophomore and 27-5 as a freshman … PIAA state qualifier … four-year all-county selection in wrestling … set Somerset County record for pins, and holds school career and season records for wins and falls … also a standout in football who earned all-state honors … also competed in track & field.
