Eric Crandall

Crandall was promoted to interim head coach for the Edinboro Fighting Scots in the Spring of 2026. 

Last fall, Crandall led the Edinboro defense that ranked third in the PSAC allowing 22.3 points per game and fourth in total yards per game at 333.6.

Crandall had a pair of first-team All-PSAC West selections on the defensive side of the ball in 2025 in safety Nate Deanes and defensive lineman JT Taylor.
 
Prior to coming to Edinboro, Crandall spent the last eight years at New Haven as the linebackers coach. The last seven seasons he has also served as the special teams coordinator. In his time with the Chargers, he has helped 23 players earn all NE-10 honors with five all-region selections and four All-Americans.
 
Prior to his time at New Haven, Crandall spent the 2017 season at Western Connecticut State where he was co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.
 
Before his time with Western Connecticut State, seven seasons with SUNY College at Buffalo. In his time there he served in a variety of roles working with the linebackers from 2010-2016. He also spent a season as a defensive assistant working with the defensive line and defensive backs. He also served as the junior varsity head coach and defensive coordinator while with the Bengals.
